- Arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport Katunayake

- Transfer to Colombo – You will be taken to the commercial capital, Colombo, which is approximately an hour’s drive from the airport.

- Make an early start towards the for RUK area ( Rakawa, Ussangoda & Kalamitiya) (67 km, approx. 1 ½ hour drive), close to Hambantota, with over 425 bird species
- Visit the Rakwana Turtle Hatchery en-route.
- In the evening, leave for Bundala National Park( 2 km, approx. 5 min. drive) and view the visitor centre.
- Leave for Hambantota (4 km, approx. 10 min drive)

- Leave for Udawalawe (60 km, approx. 1 ¼ hour drive). Visit the Elephant Transit Camp, where orphaned baby elephants are nurtured until ready for reintegration into the wilds.
- Jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park and reservoir, renowned for its rare visitors and breeding resident species of birds.
- In the evening leave for Ratnapura (60 km, approx. 1 ½ hour drive)
